Your Impact

We've been improving the lives of older people for almost 75 years. With your help, we will help many more.

All funds raised for Best For Ages help to connect our older generation in communities that care.

From life-enhancing services like our 57 Live at Home schemes across Great Britain that reduce loneliness and isolation for over 10,000 individuals to our ground-breaking Music Therapy for people living with dementia and Chaplaincy Service that helps to meet the spiritual needs of older people, every penny your raise will make a huge difference to older people. How your support helps

Live at Home Schemes aim to tackle loneliness in later life by providing a variety of community activities that promote social inclusion including exercise classes and day trips, lunch and breakfast clubs, assisted shopping and befriending services

Music is truly magical - it can alleviate isolation and the symptoms for those living with dementia by helping to unlock special memories and express emotions and feelings that other forms of communication cannot, even if the individual is no longer able to speak or respond to other people’s words

A smile and a shared joke, a chat in the corridor, a caring hug or just holding someone’s hand quietly when needed is all part of Chaplain’s day to ensure personal well-being and enable older people to live life to the full

With almost 75% of older people in the UK identifying as lonely and more than half of those saying they have never spoken to anyone about how they feel, loneliness is a growing epidemic that can no longer be swept under the carpet
